Today was a day for new books.

This week was about different kinds of sports.

오늘은 새로운 책인 나가는 날입니다.

이번 주는 운동 종목에 대해서 공부해 봤는데요~~

The children listened intently to the teacher's explanation.

It seems they're especially focused because they love sports.

흥미롭게 선생님의 설명을 듣는 친구들!!!

운동을 좋아하는 친구들이어서 그런지 집중하는 모습입니다.

Now, let's practice the words we learned today.

They carefully wrote each letter with their little hands.

They also learned about the rules of American football.

They even practiced passing the ball with the teacher!

실제로 선생님과 함께 주고받는 연습도 해봤습니다!

After enough practice, it was time for a real game!

Joy class made a yard for the house they built yesterday.

Joy 친구들은 어제 만든 집의 마당을 만들어 봤습니다!

They made a fence for the green lawn and decorated the yard with their own unique taste!

초록 잔디밭에 울타리를 만들고~

나만의 개성을 담아 마당을 꾸며보는 친구들!

Today's science lesson is "Cloud in a Bottle."

오늘 English Science Class에서는

"Cloud in a Bottle"

에 대해서 공부했습니다.

After reviewing what they have learned, they started science class.

지난 시간에 배운 내용을 복습하면서

과학시간을 시작해 봤습니다.

"Can we go up to the sky and bring clouds down?"

The students shared their thoughts with the teacher.

하늘로 올라가서 구름을 가져올 수 있을까요?

선생님과 함께 자신의 생각을 나눠보는 시간을 가졌습니다.

They watched a video of clouds being formed to see what happens in the sky.

실제 하늘에서 구름을 가져오는 영상을 시청하면서

어떤 일이 발생하는지 확인해 보는 시간을 가졌습니다.

"Why do the clouds from the sky turn into water? "

They thought about the reason by touching the water on the outside of the cup.

하늘에서 가져온 구름이 왜 물로 변했을까요?

컵 겉면에 있는 물을 만져보면서 이유를 생각해 봤습니다.

"How are clouds formed? "

They studied about the principles before starting the experiment.

구름이 만들어지는 원리는 무엇일까요?

실험에 들어가기 전 원리에 대해 공부해 봤습니다.

Now, let's do an experiment to make clouds!

First, they put hot water in a plastic bottle and observed the inside.

이제 구름을 만들어보는 실험을 해볼까요?

먼저 페트병에 뜨거운 물을 담고 페트병 안을 관찰해 봤습니다.

The students watched what happened inside the bottle as they squeezed it.

페트병을 눌러보면서 페트병 안에서 무슨 일이 발생하는지 관찰해 보는 시간을 가졌습니다.

This time, they observed more closely.

They lit a cotton swab and put it inside the bottle.

이번에는 좀 더 자세하게 관찰해 볼까요?

면봉에 불을 붙여서 페트병 안에 넣어봤습니다.

They finished by writing a report to organize the results of today's experiment.

오늘 실험한 결과를 보고서로 정리해 보며 마무리하였습니다.

Of course, can't forget about organizing the binders!

바인더 정리도 빼놓을 수 없겠죠??

They wrapped up the class by organizing their homework.

과제를 정리하면서 수업을 마무리하였습니다.

Today's lessons in social studies are:

"Sam's Fourth of July", "Happy New Year Around the World",and "New Year Celebration".

에 대해 공부해 봤습니다.

The students in Love class started with a vocabulary test.

먼저 단어 시험으로 수업을 시작하는 친구들!!!

Today, they learned about American Independence Day.

They also talked about some symbols like fireworks and parades.

오늘 Love 반 친구들은 미국의 독립기념일에 대해 공부하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

또한 독립기념일의 상징인 불꽃놀이와 퍼레이드의 유래에 대해 공부해 봤습니다.

They also had a puzzle time with pictures related to the main text.

The students were so excited when they got the answers right.

본문과 관련된 그림 퍼즐을 맞춰보는 시간도 가졌는데요~

답을 맞혀 신난 친구들!!

참 잘했어요!!

Finally, it was phonics time! 

Today, they studied the "ay" sound with words like playground, crayon, and clay.

마지막으로 Phonics 시간!!!

Continuing from yesterday, the Joy and Peace classes learned about New Year's celebrations around the world. 

Joy, Peace 반 친구들은 어제에 이어 세계의 새해에 대해 공부해 봤습니다.

Let's check out some of their resolutions: 

"I want to study English harder."

"I want to go rock climbing."

"I'm going to study math harder."

"I want to study Japanese."
