Students are wrapping up this week's lesson during science class
by taking the last vocabulary test.
They are also designing sand towers
that can withstand water erosion.
오늘 English Science Class에서는 단어 시험을 보면서 그동안 배운 내용을 점검했습니다.
또한 재밌는 과학 실험이 기다리고 있는데요~
한번 구경해 볼까요?
The class starts with a vocabulary test.
엄숙한 분위기의 교실!
단어 시험시간!!!
Students must spell the vocabulary correctly
by looking at its Korean meaning and the picture.
앞에 보이는 그림을 보고 정확한 스펠링을 맞춰야 하는 우리 친구들!!!
진지하게 시험에 임하는 모습이 기특합니다.
After the test, students listen to the teacher's instructions
about the upcoming experiment.
시험이 끝난 후, 학생들은 실험에 대해 설명을 듣는 시간을 가졌습니다.
The teacher hands out the datasheet for the experiment,
and students attach them to the clipboard.
선생님이 주시는 보고서를 받아 실험 준비를 하는 친구들!!!
Students build two sand towers—one with burlap and one without.
먼저 두 개의 모래탑을 만들어봤습니다.
하나는 모래만 쌓고, 다른 하나는 삼베를 이용해서 탑을 만들었습니다.
Students must build the sand tower firm enough
to withstand the water poured on it.
우리 친구들이 모래탑을 왜 쌓고 있을까요?
모래탑이 물에 대한 침식을 얼마나 견딜 수 있는지 알아보기 위한 실험을 진행했습니다.
Students pour water on their tower
to observe how much it can withstand erosion.
이제 물을 부어볼까요?
각자의 탑에 직접 물을 부으며 결과를 관찰하는 친구들!!!
Students cooperate in pairs to complete their towers in a limited time.
제한된 시간 내에 탐을 열심히 쌓는 친구들!!!
서로서로 도와가면서 실험을 하는 모습이 너무 멋져요!!!
They must also measure the heights of their towers before and after the erosion.
실험 결과는 탑의 높이를 측정해서 비교해 봤습니다.
물을 붓기 전후로 높이를 측정하는 모습!!!
After the experiment, students fill in the datasheet.
They record the measured heights
and sketch the appearance of the final result.
실험이 끝난 후에 보고서 쓰는 것도 빼놓을 수 없겠죠??
측정한 높이와 모영을 기록하면서 실험을 마무리했습니다.
The team that built the best tower wins extra talent.
