The 2024 HICS English Winter Camp has finally begun! 

Let's start the 3-week Winter Camp! 

2024년 HICS English Winter Camp가 드디어 시작되었습니다! 

3주간의 Winter Camp 시작해 볼까요??

First, students receive a Winter Camp bag 

and a name tag from the first floor and move to the classroom. 

The bag contains the main textook, 

the binder with worksheets to be used for 3 weeks, and the camp schedule. 

먼저 1층에서 Winter Camp 가방과 명찰을 받고 교실로 이동!! 

가방 안에는 3주동안 사용할 Main Book과 Worksheet가 들어있는 바인더, Camp 시간표가 들어있습니다.

Let's go to class now! 

이제 수업을 들으러 가볼까요?

Today's English Class topics are: 

'Jobs we do at school' 

'Science of Hiccups' 

'Seeing the Evience' 

오늘 English Class 수업 주제는 

'Jobs we do at school' 

'Science of Hiccups' 

'Seeing the Evidence'

Students first went through the vocabulary. 

Then the kids took turn reading the book. 

우선 단어를 꼼꼼히 살펴보고 나서 아이들은 차례로 책을 읽었습니다.

Students worked on reading worksheets as they read through the text. 

책을 읽고나서 본문과 관련된 활동지를 풀어보는 시간!!!

In the English Science Class, 

students did icebreaker activities to get to know each other better. 

English Science Class 에서는 

서먹서먹한 우리 친구들이 친해지는 시간! 

Icebreaker Activities 를 진행하였습니다.

The game is called "You!" 

Point to a friend, do a hi-five, and call out their name! 

이번 게임 이름은 You!!! 

서로의 이름을 부르며 하이파이브!!!

Name and Throw! 

Pass the doll as you call out their name! 

Name and Throw! 

이번엔 인형을 던지면 친구의 이름을 불러볼까요?

Everybody familiar with each other's name? 

Call out their name first when the curtain goes up! 

이제 친구들의 이름이 익숙해졌는지 확인해볼까요? 

커튼뒤에 있는 친구 이름을 먼저 부르는 게임!!! 

누가누가 먼저 부르나!!!!

They seem to have become friends good friends! 

벌써 친해진 모습이지요????

Finally, English Social Class!! 

It's time to learn more about new friends! 

마지막으로 English Social Class !!! 

아직 서로를 잘 모르는 친구들에 대해 좀더 알아보는 시간! 

English Science 수업과는 또 다른 형태로 

Icebreaker Activities 를 진행하였습니다.

Time to introduce favorite foods, colors, hobbies, sports, and birthdays! 

The students had time to learn more about each other 

by answering questions and solving simple spelling quizzes 

가장 좋아하는 음식, 색깔, 취미, 운동, 생일 등을 소개시간! 

간단한 스펠링 퀴즈도 풀어보고 답변을 하면서 서로에 대해 알아가는 시간을 가졌습니다.

Next is a game of creathing ridiculous scenarios! 

In 60 seconds, students had to create absurd situations,

 developing their imagination and expressiveness. 

다음은 엉뚱한 시나리오 만들기 게임! 

60초동안 말도안되는 상황에 대한 상상력을 키우고 표현력을 높이는 활동을 해보았습니다.

Time to get closer to each other through a virtual maze game! 

Students tried to improve their ability to understand each other deeply 

and cooperate while finding the way out with our classmates. 

미로 게임을 통해 친구들과 친해지는 시간!!! 

같은 반 친구들과 함께 길을 찾아가면서 서로를 더 깊이 이해하고 협력하는 능력을 향상시켜보았습니다.

Everyone participated well in class today!

Today's main course is bulgogi and tomato spaghetti!
