안녕하세요^^ 

This is HICS, Hangang International Christian School located in Pungmu-dong. 

풍무동에 위치한 한강국제크리스천학교 HICS 입니다.

Our students arrived at school safely through the snow this morning. 

They grabbed their name tags and headed to their classroom! 

아침부터 내리는 눈을 뚫고 학교에 도착한 우리 친구들!!! 

이름표를 챙겨서 교실로 이동!

During today's English class, the students and teacher went over their homework and did Role-play. 

After the Role-play, the students did an activity called "Been Bag Spelling Bee" 

오늘 English Class 수업에서는 Role-play 와 Activities 가 진행되었습니다.

The teacher checked students' homework. 

Each student did their best to complete their homework! 

먼저 해온 과제를 확인하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 

모두들 열심히 해온 과제를 피드백 받는 시간!!!!!

It is time for Role-Play. 

The students first did it with the teacher. 

All students read the role-play out loud. 

이제 역할극 시간!!! 

먼저 선생님과 학생들이 돌아가면서 연습을 하고!!!

After practicing with the teacher, the students paired up and practiced by themselves. 

The students had fun practicing. 

After practicing for few minutes, they performed in front of the class. 

Everybody did well! 

친구들과 짝지어 발표해보는 시간!!! 

처음이라 떨리지만 모두모두 최선을 다하는 모습!!! 

멋져용!!!

After the kids performed Role-play in front of the class, the students did a "Bean Bag Spelling Bee" activity. 

The students threw the bag into the can, and if they got it in, then they got to spell the word. 

If the students spell the word right, then they get points. 

Everybody was happy!!! 

열심히 공부한 친구들! 

이번에는 "Bean Bag Spelling Bee" 게임을 해봤습니다! 

콩주머니를 통에 던지고 던져서 넣은 주머니 수만큼 단어를 맞추는 기회를 얻었습니다! 

모두모두 즐거운 English Class!!!

Students learned about space in science class today. 

English Science Class 에서는 우주과학을 배웠습니다!

The class started by an intriguing science question and a discussion. 

"What makes up the Solar System?" 

"What would happen without the sun?" 

"태양계는 어떤 물체들로 이루어져 있을까?" 

"태양이 없다면 무슨 일이 일어날까?" 

다양한 질문을 통해 호기심을 자극해보고 서로 이야기하며 토론해보는 시간을 가졌습니다!

Students worked in groups to align planet cards in order, shared what they already know about each planet, 

and watched a planet song video to learn new facts about planets. 

그룹별로 행성 그림카드를 배열해보고 각 행성에 대해서 알고있었던 것들을 이야기해보았습니다. 

또한 "Planet Song" 을 보면서 행성에 대해 더 탐구해보는 시간을 가졌습니다!

Next, the students read a passage about comets and asteroids. 

They worked on worksheets for analyzing the difference between the two. 

이번에는 소행성과 혜성에 대해 배워보는 시간!!! 

글을 읽고 어떤 차이가 있는지 worksheet 에 적어보았습니다!

ove class's focus was the importance of the sun. 

They practiced using new science vocabulary through a song, book talk, and worksheet activities. 

특히 Love반은 태양에 대해 더 알아보았는데요~ 

태양이 왜 중요한지 노래를 불러보고 이야기를 나눠보았습니다. 

마지막으로 worksheet 에 오늘 배운 과학 어휘 학습까지!!!

In class, students explored Leonardo da Vinci's roles as a Renaissance polymath-painter, scientist, and engineer. 

His masterpieces like the Mona Lisa demonstrated the fusion of precision and artistry, highlighting the interconnectedness of art, science, and innovaton during the High Renaissance. 

오늘 Social class 에서는 르네상스 시대의 다산술 화가, 과학자, 엔지니어로서 레오나르도 다빈치의 역할을 탐구했습니다. 

모자리자와 같은 작품들은 정밀성과 예술성의 융합을 보여주었고, 

르네상스 시대에서 예술과 과학이 얼마나 관련이 있는지 배워보았습니다!

Today, students delved into Leonardo da Vinci's revolutionary anatomical studies, where art and science converge. 

His detailed sketches and observations, including cadaver dissections, provide unique insights into the human body. 

This session highlighted the lasting impact of Leonardo's work on medical understanding showcasing the seamless blend of artistic expression and scientific inquiry in his anatomical studies. 

오늘은 레오나르도 다빈치가 사람의 몸을 그림으로 그려 과학을 연구한 것을 배웠습니다. 

다빈치의 연구는 매우 정확해서, 오늘날에도 의학에 많은 도움이 되고 있다고 합니다^^

Students delved into various aspects of Leonardo da Vinci's life covering essential details such as his death date, professions, notable works,

and intriguing facts, all culminating in an engaging quiz to reinforce our understanding of this Renaissance polymath. 

레오나르도 다빈치의 다채로운 삶도 살펴보았는데요~ 

그의 직업, 유명한 작품, 재미있는 일화까지 배우고 그에대한 재미난 퀴즈도 풀어보았습니다^^

In addition to the exploration of Leonardo da Vinci's life, today's class offered a unique and exciting experience. 

Students engaged in a drawing and coloring session, each creating our own interpretation of the Mona Lisa. 

This hands-on activity not only allowed them to appreciate the artistic process but also added a creative and enjoyable dimension to our study of Leonardo da Vinci. 

레오나르도 다빈치가 되어 나만의 모나리자 만들기 활동!!!! 

모나리자에 대해 각자의 개성을 살려 그림그리기를 해보았는데요~ 

모두 진지하게 작품을 완성해보았습니다!
