Today in social studies, students read about
Mother’s Day, Hawaii volcanoes, and Puebloans.
오늘 Social Studies class에서는
"My Gift for Mom"
"Hawaii Volcanoes"
"Ancestral Puebloans"
에 대해 배웠습니다.
In Joy class, students listen to the teacher’s explanation
about the formation of volcanoes.
Then, they fill in the chart with information about the reading.
화산은 어떻게 형성될까요?
Joy class에서는 화산에 대해 배웠습니다.
먼저 선생님의 설명을 들은 후 교재를 보면서 화산이 형성되는 과정을 적어보았습니다.
They also learn about grammar skills.
In this lesson, they learn about subject and verb agreement
and circle the verb that agrees with the noun.
오늘은 문법에 대해서도 알아볼까요?
주어 동사의 수일치에 대해 배웠습니다.
주어가 단수인지 복수인지에 따라
동사의 수를 일치시켜주는 연습을 했습니다.
In Peace class, students read about the Puebloans
who lived in the Southwest part of America.
Students take turns reading out the passage.
Peace class는 푸에블로 족에 대해 알아보는 시간을 가졌습니다.
푸에블로 족은 미국 남서부 지역에 살았다는데요~
교재를 살펴보며 푸에블로 족에 대해 좀 더 자세히 알아보는 시간을 가졌습니다.
Love class students read about Mother’s Day.
After reading with the teacher, students get a chance
to match the words with the picture.
Love class에서는 어머니의 날에 대해 배웠습니다.
먼저 선생님과 함께 책을 읽은 후,
책 속의 단어 맞추기 게임을 진행했습니다.
Students eagerly participate in class
as they answer questions about the reading.
They give the teacher a high and low five as they get the correct answer.
선생님의 질문에 답을 하면서 단어들을 익혀가는 Love class!
점수를 얻기 위해 열정적으로 참여하는 모습이 보입니다!
Then they color and write the letter “B” under the picture that begins with “B”.
They also draw a picture of the words they learn.
이번에는 알파벳 "B"에 대해 좀 더 공부해 보는 시간을 가졌습니다.
"B"로 시작하는 단어는 무엇이 있을까요?
"Bird, Bee, Book, …"
그림을 색칠하면서 단어를 익히는 시간을 가졌습니다.
Joy class wraps up their camp diorama project.
After coloring and decorating their tents, chairs, and tables,
they glue them on the grass.

After reading about the Puebloans,
Peace class students make their own pueblos.
First, they try laying the blocks on top to make it look like a pueblo.
Peace class에서는 무엇을 만들고 있을까요?
푸에블로 족이 살았던 집을 만들어봤습니다.
여러 가지 상자를 이용해 집을 짓고 있는 친구들!!!
사다리, 선인장 등을 이용해 집을 꾸며볼까요?
과연 어떻게 집을 만들었을지 다음 시간에 공개하겠습니다.
