오늘은 과연 어떤 수업이 기다리고 있을까요?

Today, in English class, we read "Are You Okay?", "Happy Birthday Snag", and "Broken Arm Blue".

오늘 English Class에서는

"Are You Okay?"

"Happy Birthday Snag"

"Broken Arm Blue"

이라는 주제를 가지고 공부했습니다.

Before we dive into today's main lesson,

 let's start with some vocabulary. 

오늘 본문을 공부하기 전

단어 공부를 시작해 볼까요?

"What Are Feelings?" was our topic for today, 

where we learned about different emotions. 

"What Are Feelings?"

오늘은 감정에 대해 공부하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

Let's make some faces to show how we feel, like happy, sad, or angry!

기쁨, 슬픔, 화남 등

다양한 표정을 지어볼까요?

To reward our students for their hard work, 

they had a lot of fun games for today!

그동안 열심히 공부한 우리 친구들을 위해

오늘은 다양한 게임들이 준비되어 있는데요~

The first game was "Shout My Name!"

In this game, students shouted out fruit names and numbers to a beat.

The goal was to stand up and shout the corresponding fruit name when it was their turn. 

체력과 두뇌를 모두 이용하는 게임!

첫 번째 게임은 내 이름을 외쳐라!

박자에 맞춰 과일 이름과 숫자를 외치면

해당되는 과일을 외치면서 일어나는 게임!!

The second game was "Protect My Spot!"

They all spun around to the music, and when it stopped, 

they had to quickly find an empty chair to sit in.

두 번째 게임은 내 자리를 지켜라!

흘러나오는 음악에 맞춰 빙글빙글~~~~

음악이 멈추면 의자에 앉아서 자리를 찾는 게임입니다.

Not knowing when the music would stop,

kept everyone on their toes!

언제 음악이 멈출지 모르는 긴장감 속에

서로 눈치를 보며 움직이는 친구들!!!!

The third game was "Find the Hands and Feet!"

 In this game, students touched the correct hand and foot symbols 

based on the picture the teacher showed them.

세 번째 게임은 손바닥 발바닥을 찾아라!

선생님이 제시한 그림에 맞는 손바닥과 발바닥을 터치하면 이기는 게임!!

Left hand! Right hand! 

The pictures were surprisingly tricky, and the tension was high!

왼손! 오른손!

생각보다 헷갈리는 그림에 긴장감 최고!!!

In today's English Science Class, the students studied "Will It Rain Tomorrow?

오늘 English Science Class에서는

"Will It Rain Tomorrow?"

에 대해서 공부했습니다.

The students talked about how meteorologists predict the weather by discussing what they've already learned.

기상청은 어떻게 날씨를 예측할까요??

지금까지 배운 내용들을 떠올리며 선생님과 이야기를 나눠보는 시간을 가졌습니다.

They even made their own barometer to see how a device could help predict the weather!

날씨를 예측하기 위해서는 어떤 장치들을 이용할까요??

다양한 장치 중 오늘은 기압계를 만들어보는 시간을 가졌습니다.

They started by cutting a balloon and stretching it over the mouth of a glass.

먼저, 고무풍선을 가위로 잘라 유리컵의 입구를 감싸볼까요?

 Then, they attached a wooden stick to the center of the balloon.

다음은 나무 막대 끝을 고무풍선에 고정시키기!!

They drew a picture on a piece of paper to make a pressure gauge, and when they placed the glass and the gauge on the floor.

이제 기압 표시판을 만들어볼까요???

종이 기둥에 그림을 그려 표시판을 완성해 봤습니다.

They had a barometer of their own.

이제 바닥에 유리컵과 기압 표시판을 그리면 완성!!!!

Thinking about Hanukkah, which they learned about yesterday, the students made a dreidel treat using marshmallows.

어제 배운 하누카모양을 떠올리면서

마시멜로를 이용해 하누카모양의 디저트를 만들어봤습니다.

The students gathered around for cooking class and listened carefully to the teacher's instructions.

쿠킹 수업을 위해 한자리에 모인 우리 친구들!!!

어떻게 만드는지 선생님의 설명을 집중하고 있습니다.

They then drew the design for their dreidel treats on paper. 

이제 어떤 모양을 만들지 생각해 볼까요?

각자의 하누카 디저트 모양을 도화지에 그려봤습니다.

After that, they used marshmallows and meringue to create their own dreidel designs. 

이제 본격적으로 마시멜로와 머랭을 이용하여

하누카 모양을 만들어볼까요??

Now they had to choose what to use for their decoration.

다양한 토핑을 이용해 하누카를 꾸며 볼까요?

They used chocolate pens, star candies, and powdered sugar to decorate their treats. 

초콜릿 펜과 별사탕, 슈거파우더 등

다양한 재료를 이용해서 만드는 친구들!

The students were so focused on making their own that they didn't even want a break!

쉬는 시간도 필요 없다!!!

종이 쳤는데도 하누 마를 만드는 데 집중하는 친구들!!

Look at these amazing treats!

열심히 만든 우리 친구들의 디저트!!!!!

너무 맛있어 보이지 않나요????

They carefully packaged their treats to be taken home. 

Hope you all enjoy them with your family!

완성된 하누카는 예쁘게 포장해서 집으로 가져갔습니다^^
